The sculpture shown here was exhibited in the Winter Gardens 19 June - 8 August 2004.
The work formed part of a group exhibition 'Secret Garden' in Sheffield's Millennium Galleries by 13 leading artists and makers inspired by and/or making work for garden environments.
These 'Draw-rings' are some of a larger series of sculpture for outdoors. The title 'Draw-rings' came from the description often given of the artist's work that it is like drawing in space.
Each sculpture is based on a circle or 'ring', which implies movement in space, with each piece describing a particular physical action or event.
